Totals

For the first half of 2023, we have earned 1,092,258 points/miles. Obviously, not all of the points/miles we earned are created equal. For example, we value AMEX points at 2 cents per point, while we value Hilton points at .5 cents per point. However, we are on track to earn a similar amount of points in 2023 as we did in 2022 (2.2 million). Honestly, I think we will eclipse our point total from last year, since we have only opened 5 cards in the first six months of 2023, between Courtney and me, which is a bit under our normal average of 12 per year the past 4 years.

Your travel goals, budget and time investment are different than ours, so your miles accumulation will look different than ours. However, it’s always a beneficial exercise to tally the points you’ve earned and make sure it aligns with your earning strategy and travel goals!
